Glimpses Of You Since that day when my beloved went away, My heart filled with sorrow I no longer waited for tomorrow. But then my heart I opened When to me you came. Since that lonely day, I knew I had seen glimpses of you. In all your glory, all of your wonders, You showed me in the rainbows, And the funny cloud you gave to make me smile. The squirrel that sat in the tree Playing so gaily and free. The birds you placed somewhere near, A melody they sing to me that I may here. These are just a few of many. You’ve shown me time and time again. When on the porch I silently pray, To me, you show your way. The butterflies fluttering by, And bunnies that hop nearby. You’ve never left me I see you all around. In the flowers with all their beauty, Even the rain falling as it refreshes my senses. You continuously come to me In everything you behold. When my tears are silent You’re there to whisper my name. When I close my eyes to sleep You speak to me that I may hear, Always reminding me that you are near.
